Back at Kosair Again…

It’s Tuesday and we’re back here at Kosair again.  Surprisingly, they had a bed for Noah so we came in this morning.  He is on his pre-chemo fluids now and should be getting the Cisplatin in about 4 hours.  Other than not wanting to be here and not wanting anyone messing with him, Noah is doing fine.  We had a bit of an issue getting the port needle in this morning, but I think that was more traumatic for us than it was for Noah.

Everything else is going fine.  Dillon is on spring break and has been spending the last few days at his Grandma’s house.  He should be coming home either today or tomorrow.  That’ll be good.  His birthday is on Thursday.  Our *little* baby is going to be 6.  Wow.

Crystal and I are doing well.  We still have our ups and downs, but overall we’re great.  We’re ready to get all of this behind us and get back to living life like normal.

There was a possibility that Noah was going to need a blood transfusion, but the doctors are going to wait and check his numbers tomorrow to see how he’s doing.  We’re in isolation for now because Noah still has the C-Diff infection…but we can still have visitors.  It’s the other kids they’re worried about with this one.  After a few ‘poo’ checks, that may go away too.

As always, thanks to everyone for all of your support.  We are encouraged every day by your thoughts and prayers…and everything else.

God Bless,

Doug
