We went in for round three today.  Crystal and Noah are still up at Kosair.  Dillon and I came home today at about 8:00.  When we left, Noah was still getting his third round of Cisplatin.  He seemed to be a little more tired today than he usually is, but he got up this morning at around 2:30 and didn’t go back to sleep until 4:00.  I’m guessing that is a major factor in how he was doing today. 

****UNBELIEVABLE NEWS ALERT****…….We got Noah’s latest AFP results back today.  His AFP has dropped from 2500 to just under 300!!!!  I did the math and it was a 90% drop in AFP levels.  So his levels have dropped from 8100 to 300 in 2 months.  That’s a 96.3% overall drop in AFP levels since chemotherapy started.  GO CISPLATIN!!!  Just kidding.  God deserves all of the glory for Noah’s miraculous response.  He may choose to heal by miracle or He may choose to heal by using the doctors, but above all…God still heals those who are sick.  You can’t convince me otherwise. 

So what does the massive drop in AFP levels mean?  Not much, other than Noah is still responding miraculously to the treatment.  As we learned last month, Dr. Ayyanar wants to stay with the protocol that is already prescribed.  Hey, she’s the doctor.  I wouldn’t expect her to tell me how to do my job, I’m not going to tell her how to do hers.  But I would LOVE to have this over early.  For all of our sakes…
