We got home from the start of round 4 yesterday. Miss Christina at the hospital let us leave about 4 hours early since Noah was doing so well.
Here are the latest numbers:
- The tumor has shrunk about 30%. The surgeon said that if the tumor had looked like this the first time he saw it, he would’ve removed it then.
- Noah’s latest AFP level dropped from 276 to 71, which is a 75% drop. It’s down from 8100 when we started. That’s a 99.4% drop overall.
- Surgery is tentatively scheduled for 06.22.08. This is still subject to change.
It’s hard to believe, but we’re already past the halfway mark in this whole ordeal. Although we’ve had our rougher days, this has been tolerable, by the grace of God. Please continue to pray for us as we move toward the end of this test. We will need all of the prayer and love that we can get. The surgery is far from routine but we believe in our medical staff. God be with them.
God bless,
Doug
Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I just added a link to your blog from mine. I run the site CancerKids.org, and so I’m dedicating part of my personal blog to sites that deal with Childhood cancer.
