Today was a pretty good day. Noah got around in his push car more today. He’s still not really eating – he’s existing on a steady diet of junk food – but he’s drinking quite well. And today he took a few tentative steps…while one of us was holding on. He’s still pretty scared to walk on his own. Hopefully he’ll do that tonight or tomorrow.
The doctors are talking about letting us go home either tomorrow (Saturday) or Sunday. I’m not sure we’re ready for that. It just seems like he would be here longer after this surgery, but God is working miracles with him, so why not? Dr. Nagaraj has already called Noah “super kid” because he’s heaing so well…or so I heard.
It’s funny how time seems to stop while you’re in the hospital. Sometimes it’s like somebody hit the pause button on life. We heard yesterday that gas has gone up again. That’ll be interesting to see when we leave. I have no idea what’s going on in the world, even with the internet. I just can’t seem to focus on it in here. Oh well…I’ll quit rambling.
Noah is doing pretty well, just cranky from time to time. Everybody seems to think that he’ll act differently once we get home. He just seems to be over nurses and doctors and people poking him. I really can’t blame him.
Thanks again to everyone for you support. Your calls and notes and messages mean so much.
God bless,
Doug
